LAW, DONOHUE, AND BRUMOS PORSCHE READY FOR
ROLEX SERIES SAHLEN'S 200 AT WATKINS GLEN
Rolex Grand
American Daytona Prototype competitors Darren Law, David Donohue
and the entire #58 Red Bull Brumos Porsche team are making the quick
trip from Mid-Ohio to Watkins Glen for the Friday the 13th running
of the Sahlen’s 200 endurance event. After a strong 4th place
finish at Mid-Ohio Law is eager to tackle the technical and history
filled 2.45 mile11-turn road course nestled in upstate New York.
Law and Donohue who currently share 11th place in the Rolex Daytona
Prototype driver's championship standings have steadily been improving
their race finishes over the past several events. The Red Bull Brumos
team earned podium finishes at both Glen events in '03, and Law
hopes that a podium finish in '04 is attainable.
"We had a bit of a rough start to the season," said Law.
"But, I think we are beginning to see better results recently.
We have had some better luck lately, and I think we have developed
a good rhythm as a team. I'm hoping we have another solid weekend
at Watkins."
The Sahlen's 200 at the Glen is scheduled to start at approximately
6:30 pm EST immediately following NASCAR Nextel Cup qualifying.
The race is scheduled for 200 miles or may be time-limited to 8:30
