DARREN LAW AND FLYING LIZARD MOTORSPORTS HOPING
TO EXTEND GT POINTS LEAD AT ALMS PORTLAND GRAND PRIX
Coming off a strong
second place finish at the Infineon Grand Prix of Sonoma, American
Le Mans Series standouts Darren Law, Johannes van Overbeek and the
entire Flying Lizard squad are ready to tackle the sweeping corners
of Portland International Raceway for the Portland Grand Prix. The
2 hour 45 minute endurance contest is set for the weekend of July
23-25, and Law and van Overbeek are hoping to extend their current
GT class points lead with the team's #45 ShoreTel/eSilicon/Brocade
Porsche GT3 RSR.
The Portland Grand Prix marks the 5th round of the 2004 ALMS championship,
and the flat picturesque 1.9 mile road course circuit found within
the city limits of Portland will likely offer challenges to all
of the teams during the event.
"We are definitely looking forward to this race," said
Law. "We've been running well the last few races, and we're
hoping to continue the trend. Portland has a real mix of corners,
and set up is going to be pretty important. We are going to be doing
everything we can to bring home some points and continue to lead
the championship."
The Portland Grand Prix will be aired live by Speedvision, with
coverage set to start at 4 pm EST on July 25th. For additional scheduling
