HOMESTEAD MIAMI 250 IS NEXT STOOP FOR DARREN
LAW, DAVID DONOHUE AND BRUMOS PORSCHE SQUAD
Despite the recent pounding that Florida
took from hurricane Frances, the Miami 250 is set to be run the
weekend of September 10-12 on the road course section of Homestead-Miami
Speedway. Darren Law and teammate David Donohue will take to the
track for an early Friday morning practice in the #58 Red Bull Brumos
Porsche Fabcar for the 9th round of the 12 race 2004 Grand American
Rolex Sports car series schedule.
The Brumos team, which is based in Jacksonville, Florida, endured
the brunt of Frances" 80-100 mph winds and torrential rain
over the Labor Day weekend, but are ready to make the relatively
short trip to the southern Florida racetrack.
The Grand American series last visited Homestead for round 2 of
the 2004 season, and the Brumos team is looking to improve on there
last performance there. "We've learned a lot about the car
this year," remarked Law.
"We know what the car likes and doesn't like, and we have made
significant improvements to the overall package. David (Donohue)
and I are looking to put together some good finishes for these next
three races to close out the year positively."
The Miami 250 is scheduled to start at 1 pm EST on Sunday September,
12th, with live Speed Channel coverage of the event.
