DARREN LAW MOTORSPORTS HISTORY
Darren Law Lives in Phoenix Arizona with his wife of 25 years and two daughters. He has been involved in the automotive and racing industry for more than 2 decades. Darren established himself with his successes as both as a racing driver and as a business man. Starting in GoKarts at age 11 he went on to win 2 Karting Championships as a teenager then further developed his professional driving career progressing into Sports Cars. Having spent more than a decade driving for several top tier teams, the majority of his time was spent behind the wheel of a Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche, one of the most highly recognized Porsche factory supported GT racing programs. He also spent several years racing Prototypes primarily with Brumos Porsche and Action Express. He achieved many successes including 2 drivers championships, three trips to LeMans and the overall win at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2009 driving the Brumos Porsche Daytona Prototype.
Secondary to his time as a professional driver he was also involved in driver training and the ride and drive industry. Beginning with working as an instructor at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in 1991. After leaving the school in 1996 to pursue his Professional Driving career he returned in 2011 and took the position of COO to oversee the operations of the Bondurant School. During his time in this position the business grew and established several new relationships that are still in place today. Darren expanded his experience in the automotive industry showing his versatility consulting in race track and facility design for Thermal Motorsports Club in Palm Springs and working for Fox Sports both as a pit lane reporter and in the booth calling the LeMans 24 hour event for 2 years.
In 2014 Darren stepped down from his full time driving career and position at Bondurant to pursue an opportunity of team ownership. He and his two partners currently own the Flying Lizard Motorsports Racing Team based in Sonoma California. Darren manages all racing programs and runs the business operations for the team including working with manufacturers, sponsors and media. Based out of Sonoma, California, Flying Lizard Motorsports is one of the most iconic sports car teams in motorsports, having celebrated seven driver and team championships, as well as competed internationally at the 24 Hours of Le Mans eight times. The team currently races in Pirelli World Challenge, Porsche Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA and Porsche Club of America. The team has expanded the program and solidified a partnership to facilitate the running of the K-PAX Racing team in the Pirelli World Challenge series.
Darren Law has proven himself as both a professional driver, a coach, instructor, and mentor, and successful businessman. His keen business sense, enthusiasm for all things racing, and work ethic make him a worthy and accomplished professional one can feel confident in partnering with.
